About SBS

SBS Sustainable Bioenergy Suppliers is a supply chain platform that connects waste-based feedstock producers in Brazil with biodiesel, HVO/renewable diesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) producers in Europe. We aggregate, grade, certify and trade used cooking oil, tallow, acid oils and esterified fatty acids, converting residues that would otherwise be discarded into verified low-carbon inputs for the renewable fuels industry.

The platform is built for two audiences: Brazilian suppliers — renderers, collectors, agro-industrial processors and cooperatives — who need a reliable, transparent and well-financed buyer for their materials; and European refinery and trading counterparts who need consistent, traceable, certified feedstock volumes delivered on dependable terms. Financial institutions and logistics partners also use SBS to structure trade around these flows.

SBS is built and operated by a Portugal-based team with deep experience in bioenergy commodity trading, trade finance and supply chain operations, with leadership across Portugal and Brazil. Our combined model — sourcing, processing, certification, logistics and financing — is designed to scale with the growing European demand for sustainable feedstocks while creating circular value in the regions where the materials originate.
